This is kind of a newer concept: "Occasional table" ? It's a few inches shorter than standard tables, so you can easily eat a meal sitting on a sofa instead of a dining room chair. And this set IS comfortable! There were a couple of screws missing but customer service from the company was very helpful and sent them right out.
